Community Reporting Workshop

Community reporting workshop: Youth will learn skills required for community reporting, with an emphasis on video and community television. The local coordinator will be given specific skill exercises so participating youth can be tested at the following workshop. The second community media event will be aired on community television.

Preparation:

Put together two video kits for the interviews.

Video kit:

1. Camcorder, charged battery and tape.

2. Tripod

3. Video light on stand.

4. Extension cord.

5. Headset.

6. Microphone with cable that will plug in the camera.

You should check the kits as soon as possible.

Since we don't have a lot of time, it will be best if you decide who will interview (just a question really) who on Saturday morning.

Set up the interview appointments for Saturday afternoon.

Follow up: Continue interviews.

See links after the schedule.

Community input: We are getting our footage ready now. There is a Seniors Day going on at the Orange Lodge the same day so its a good opportunity to get some more footage and interviews.

We are in the process now arranging interviews. One of the youth plays the guitar so I was thinking some live entertainment would be good too.
