Workplan (revised Feb. 11)

1. January 6 - 19: Discussions of the project in the steering committee; evaluation and success indicator design (including the evaluation and advisory committees) preparation of the website (virtual office); prototype community forum manual; proposed workplan; prototype collaboration agreements; cultural event broadcast negotiations; applications to Industry Canada, and liaison with three local committees to set up initial meetings.

2. January 20: Meetings with EDOs/community forum facilitator, Stephenville and McKay's to review the work plan and community forum guide and agree to a collaboration agreement. Possible videoconference with search group in Montreal.

3. January 21: Committee meetings with EDO/community forum facilitator/project sponsor in McKay's and Stephenville to review the work plan and community forum guide and agree to a collaboration agreement.

4. January 22: Committee meeting with EDO/community forum facilitator/project sponsor on Port au Port to review the work plan and community forum guide and agree to a collaboration agreement.

5. January 31 to February 1: Broadcast/webcast Winterfest from Cap St Georges.

6. February 3 - 6: Members of each local committee will meet with the Search Conference and Participative Design Workshop Manager and the Long Range Regional Economic Development Board economic development officer to learn about search conferences and advise on the implementation of the Participative Design Workshop.

Feb. 3/9-11:30/Cormack - Central committee meeting.

Feb. 4/Overnight in Robinson's.

Feb. 4/McKay's/BSGSADA - BSGS committee meeting.

Feb. 5/Overnight at Cap St-Georges.

Feb. 5/10 a.m. Meeting at PAPEDA.

7. February 6: Broadcast/webcast CYN central committee meeting, Stephenville. Skills training. Documentation/participatory evaluation.

February 7 - 9: Radio in Burnt Islands.

February 10: Meetings in St. Georges.

February 12: First iVisit advisory meeting.

Feb. 13 to 19: community forum facilitator works outside the region.

8. February 20 - 22: Broadcast/webcast winter carnival in McKay's. Skills training. Participatory evaluation.

9. Week of February 23: The community forum facilitator will facilitate a three hour community forum workshop for the three local committees.

Feb. 24/1-4/Mainland - PAP workshop.

Feb. 25/9-12/McKays - BSGS workshop.

Feb. 27/9-12/Eddy - Central workshop.

10. Beginning on February 6: The Zap Survey coordinator will consult with the steering committee and the local committees.

11. February 28 to March 15: The community forum facilitator, in consultation and with support from the search committee, EDOs and the local committees, will design, promote and facilitate a model community forum broadcast/webcast. Skills training. Participatory evaluation.

March 3, L'Anse a Canards - PAP forum

March 6, Stephenville Crossing - central forum (CYN takes lead role.)

March 8, BSGS forum

12. March 11: Members of the three local committees, other interested parties and the search committee will meet with the Search Conference and Participative Design Workshop Manager for a day long Participative Design Workshop (one event for the whole region). March 16 to 20: community forum facilitator works outside the region.

13. Sometime in March: Zap surveys.

14. March 15 - 31: The local committees, with support from the search committee, EDOs and the community forum facilitator, will design, promote and then facilitate a community forum broadcast/webcast between March 22 and March 31.

March 26, Crossroads, Abraham's Cove - PAP forum

March 27, St. George's - central forum - Youth group and community forum facilitator take lead role.

March 29, BSGS forum.

15. By April 31: The Zap Survey coordinator will submit a final report; the Search Conference and Participative Design Workshop Manager will submit a final report; and Ryakuga will prepare a final report and evaluation/documentation video.

16. Ryakuga will archive the project website, discussion board and webcasts until the end of the year.
