The local SOF committee
2. Advises the facilitator on local implementation of the OLT contract.
3. Discusses the facilitators' job description.
4. Reviews the facilitator's monthly report.
5. Advises the facilitator on implementation of a monthly public, interactive discussion of local issues and/or a cultural celebration.
6. Advises the facilitator on developing community awareness and continuing local promotion of SOF.
7. Liases with the steering committee, the sponsor and the coordinator.
8. Agrees to a collaboration agreement with the SOF steering committee.
9. Provides support for the local participatory evaluation of SOF.
10. Helps the facilitator find a place to work with appropriate technical support, including internet access.
SOF Steering Committee
1. The sponsor, the Community Education Network (CEN), liaises with the Office of Learning Technology (OLT).
2. CEN submits detailed quarterly financial reports to the OLT.
3. CEN disperses OLT funds to the participating communities (i.e, salaries for the facilitators).
4. The coordinator, Ryakuga, reports monthly to the steering committee and CEN.
5. Ryakuga prepares quarterly project descriptions, promotion, and dissemination
reports for the OLT.
6. The steering committee acts as the participatory evaluation committee.
7. Ryakuga coordinates and gathers information for the participatory evaluation.
8. Ryakuga is available online to provide appropriate technical and program implementation support.
9. Ryakuga provides training materials.
10. The steering committee agrees to a collaboration agreement with the local SOF committee.
