Introductory Workshop
The focus is on "training the trainers". The local coordinators will learn about job expectations and pedagogical techniques for community media. Online learning/communication will be stressed, as well as reporting. This workshop will include the first community media event.
Preparation: Collect content for the website.
Follow up: Publicize the website. Press release. Email mailout.

2. Website focus: People who have moved away; potential benefits.
3. Gathering materials for the website.
1 p.m., April 16:
1. Meeting regarding a proposal for funding a community radio station in Burnt Islands.
10 a.m., April 17:
1. Editorial meeting on website.
2. What is Community Media?
3. Teaching community media.
4. Networking and reporting.
5. Planning the workshops.
6. Preparation and follow up.
1 p.m., April 17:
1. Publishing the website as a community media event.
Community input: We can start on 10:00 am on Saturday & Sunday. We just have some general questions about the webpage and their templates. We can book the afternoon for discussions on the radio station. Jamie Warren and Marg Bachman will be joining us. If that is o.K with you I will schedule that for 1:00.
